So the architect and designers of the latest de Young Museum chose to clad its facade in perforated, textured copper. 
Ciwt thinks it is warm and quietly dramatic but that's not everyone's reaction. For detractors, it was explained that soon the copper would turn the color of those palm fronds in front of the building and blend in gracefully with the grass and trees of surrrounding Golden Gate Park.
