Ciwt had her carpets cleaned today so she needs to write standing up while they dry.  This put her in mind of writers known to do their work standing.

It's pretty common knowledge that Hemingway was one 

Then there's Churchill 

Kierkegaard, Dickens, Virginia Woolf, Nabokov, Carroll, Thomas Wolfe, and, these days,
Philip Roth  who stands at a lectern to write, paces while he thinks and claims to walk half a mile for every page he writes.

With company like this, maybe Ciwt should take up the practice even after her carpets dry.
