Ever since coming to San Francisco Ciwt has heard about the PPIE (Panama Pacific International Exposition) of 1915. 'So what? Yawn, Yah, Yah, Yah,' she's thought. But now that she's dusted off her American Studies BA for her little history and art tour business, she finds the PPIE fascinating and is sorry all that is left of it is the (rebuilt, retrofitted and safe) Palace of Fine Arts.
