Walk: Finally we're having real rain so just R/T Legion of Honor parking lot-car and garage-Mindful Body Distance: 1 Mi. plus teach (ps - when I teach I actually demonstrate so effectively take a class)
Still thinking about how often to post a blog entry. From my point of view I could do it daily as it is fun to just write/show photos about something that came up for me that day. On the other hand, it doesn't seem quite like me in terms of letting/putting something out there that isn't 'important' 'worth reading or seeing,' etc.
Part of that goes back to the whole way I/we were raised: "If you don't have anything interesting to say, don't say anything at all. Period." This is harsh and basically impossible. Just how 'interesting' can children be anyway? On the other hand, there is much to be said for self-censorship when you hear/read people who apparently were never introduced to the concept.
So, I'll keep thinking about all this.
Meanwhile, I want to recommend once again the Palace of the Legion of Honor. It is situated on one of the world's most beautiful sites and has on-going shows of interest - even if the collection itself is, frankly, a mostly minor (but slightly representative) survey. Just to commune with the ambiance - site, light, beaux arts* building, the presence of so much art - I Love to drive up there for lunch and have been doing so regularly for many years. It's like taking a quick trip to Europe - and then, edified, returning to San Francisco.
Eventually I'll post better pics of the cafe. But here are some 'unimportant/uninteresting' ones from today.
